My mate needs help but won't take it
Okay, My mate is fifteen and she went to a parety a few months ago and drank too much then slept with a guy from her class.
They were both virgin's before hand but she now recons she could have a sexually transmitted infection... Is that possible?
And also I think she should go to see a doctor for help but she's scared because she is under age for having sex.. Can they do anything like with the law or something if she asks for help? And also if she does have an S.T.I doesn't she have to tell the guy she slept with... how can she do that? help.. I'm worried about her, they can be serious sometimes right? x

first off... yes it is possible to have an std and be a virgin. take herpes for example... oral herpes... if you kiss someone with oral herpes and you have a cut in your mouth you can still contract it and thats not even having sex! as far as getting tested... idk where you guys are located =/ but i'm located in NY and whether you're a minor or not, they cannot do anything for getting tested and being positive for an std or hiv/aids.. on the contrary. they urge you to get tested. and i urge her to get teted as well... maybe you should try going with her? help her feel accompanied and cared for... as for the guy, well, it depends on your friend. is she kind enough to look out for others and tell him about this situation? good luck guys =] i hope this all turns out well in the end...

If they are both virgins, then its not possible. Unless he is lying. She probably has a yeast infection or something like that. She should still go get checked out though, because Yeast infections are bad too. They can spread and cause serious internal problems.

shes not under age for having sex. they cant do anything with the law. its only illegal if she slept with a guy whos 18 or older and if he's in her class then i'm guessing he's not unless he got held back like 3 years. haha. even if he was 18 or older the doctor would not ask her that. but anyways she should definetly go to the doctor. she needs to get checked out asap. she can just tell the guy by calling, texting, or telling him in person. she doesn't necessarily HAVE to tell him. but it would be a nice thing to do so he can get checked out too. yes they can be VERY serious. some of them never go away. like herpes. and some of them can kill you. like AIDS. next time she should make sure she is protected. also, she should make sure she isn't pregnant. xoxo

Yes STIs are possible.They have to treat her. It is a good idea to go to the doctor. She can tell the guy she did it with in person, text, email, or a phone call

most std's (sti's) have to come from having sex with someone else before that. In the us the girl wouldn't have to say anything but the fact that she had sex. She would not get in trouble unless the parent makes trouble.
What are her symptoms? It could be something else that has to do with sex but is still perfectly normal.
