how long will i need to wait to have sex after i get birth control? like we reaaaaaally want to. we've been together for 7 months and haven't! i mean..do we have to wait a full month for the bc to kick in? does it work at all right when you start using it?

Every one has it right, about a week or more and USE CONDOMS! But thee most important thing is MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE PILL EVERY SINGLE DAY AT THE SAME TIME or it will not be ass effective!! If you miss a day and try to double up, it doesnt work. If you take it a different times every day, IT DOESNT WORK CORRECTLY. So be careful! Or try some LONG TERM birth control.

i'd say wait 3 weeks till a month if you love each other you can wait a little bit longer ive been with my boyfriend a little over 2 years and we went through a little over a year without doing it 7 months is not long at all
be smart use a condom as well b/c becausec doesn't protect against std's and it depends on what kind you take and how regular you are taking it as well

Last time I was in a clinic with my gf at the time getting BC we were told that it takes a week to fully circulate through the system. So after a week is gone go at it. I'd still advise using a condom though just because it's a good habit to be in and makes it just that much safer.

Most doctors will recommend you
wait until you have been on the
pill at least 30 days to have
unprotected sex. It needs time
to get into your system. :)
