I love going to concerts and I'm looking for advice on who to see. What bands/artists are just phenomenal live? I'd prefer that if you answer, you have actually seen them live, but testimonials from others are fine. I like pretty much any type of music. Thanks!

Wednesday 13, without a doubt.
They usually play at small clubs, you can stand wherever you want, right close up by the stage.
They're very entertaining live.
They sound great.
But they don't appeal to everyone. But if you like the sorta 'hard rock' music, then you'd probably like them.
Their songs are just about monsters, zombies, and just plain horror stuff, usually.
And I've seen them live, so I'm speaking from experience.
And after almost every show, the entire band comes out and talks to the fans. And they're some of the nicest people. ^_^
And also; Marilyn Manson.
I know not everyone likes Manson, but he's definitely a showman. Puts on a fantastic show, speaking from experience and also seeing many videos and talking to other fans that have seen them live.

hey i saw sugarland in concert and they were AMAZING. they sounded just like in the studio. she got everyone pumped up. it was the best concert i have ever went to!

the white stripes are amazing live, but they're not currently touring.
i suggest the foo fighters.
also, the raconteurs. they're amazing. just utterly stupendous. jack white is a god on the guitar.

I've heard the Dave Matthews Band is amaaaaazing live...I really want to go see them! If you're up for something different, and kind of insane, Gogol Bordello is pretty crazy live (you can look em up - they're pretty interesting =P)

okay my first choice would honestly be the jonas brothers.
i know your 22 and you prolly think their just some disney channel band, but honestly they arent. you can just listen to some of their songs and im shure youll like them. and plus their AMAZING performers.

if you're into general rock/alternative, The Offspring, Foo Fighters, and 311 are all veterans of the concert scene and put on amazing shows. Another great thing about these bands is that their shows are usually long and well worth the money.
if you're into lesser known bands, definitely go see Bane or Circa Survive. Circa Survive especially likes to incorporate props and intricate lighting setups.
festivals like Warped Tour and the Virgin Mobile Fest are also great, the atmosphere is all about the music and you can see many great bands all in one long day.
