on facebook how do you hide conversations between you and someone else,that everyone else can see, like for example, if i look at some random person's profile i can see their wall to wall conversations with some random person, so how do i hide that on my profile so that no one can see the comments between me and someone else,

To add to the other answer, you can change the privacy setting on your wall so that only specific people can see it.
To do that, click the "privacy" link in the top right corner of any Facebook page while logged in, and click "Profile". Scroll down and you should see the settings for your wall. You can then change it to allow or block specific people from seeing it.
If your wall is not visible to someone, then that person will not be given the "wall-to-wall" link under your posts on other people's walls, nor can that person see those posts by manually typing your user ID into the URL.
However, keep in mind that anyone who can see your wall can see all the posts on it. You can't hide individual posts.

The only way you can hide wall posts is by deleting them.
If you want a private conversation with someone then it's best to use the messages function.
