As full of advice as I am, I'm not perfect, and I've lost touch with people my age. I have basically all of 1 friend and I'd like somemore. I don't know where 19 year olds hang out anymore though. I haven;t been friend-hunting since I was 15... any suggestions?
Additional info, added Thursday April 10 2008, 11:58 am: Some additional info: My friend, and yes there's only one, is my gay brother and while we get along great I don't usually get on with his friends... My school (college) is very small, there are only 5 people in my class, myself included, and while I've tried to associate with people there they seem very reserved. I don't know where teens hang out these days. Everyone I know, brother aside, is 26+ or 16- and that's just not the kind of people I'm looking to hang out with... So where do 19 year olds hang out?. You could get involved in some sort nof extracurricular activites or get involved in a church or doing some sort of community service. I'm sure that there's a lot of places such as churches that may have people your age you can become friends with. Or try to look for a part time job anywhere. I made a lot of my friends working. Also you could try to form a club on your campus where you go to college in anything your interested in. That way you may meet new people that way as well. There are a lot of ways to make new friends. Just look out for people you may have things in common with and talk to them. Hope I helped.

I would suggest going to places like Starbucks on college campass (if you are in college) and other tenn places. Ask other people your age where people go and go there. Talk to people and have fun. You never know, you could become friends with them. Ask that one friends you have to take you to the movies with some of her friends, as a group. Ask her to introduce you to new people.
