techno / electronica / dance music
hey.
so i'm a huge fan of "now you're gone" by basshunter.
"find a new way" by young love.
"call on me" by eric prydz.
"put your hands up for detroit" by fedde le grand.
is there a genre that fits those types of songs, or is just like techno? (perhaps with the exception of young love, it's more rock-ish?)

personally i think it's somewhere in between house music and trance, but these genres all seem to blend into one another. if you want to learn about techno and music like it, potentially learning about some other great musiciansin the process, check out ishkur's guide to electronic music. i don't know if i can post urls here so just google it and it should be the first or second one. it's awesome, though i don't completely agree with everything he has to say about the genres.

Ever heard of Cascada? Some of their songs are techno-ish. There are some that may not fit into that category, but a few that i can think of are

These are all by Cascada, and there are many more. I just don't know them. I'm sorry if this is not what you were looking for, but everytime I hear them, there is noting I want to do more than get up and dance. ^_^
