Ok this question isnt supposed to be offensive to anybody, im just wondering opinions. Today kids are having sex younger and younger, some kids are like 13 years old. I was wondering what you all think of that. Personally i cant believe this is happening to the world haha. I was just wondering if anybody out there agrees with me or if you dont agree with me, why? This is just out of curiosity. Also, if this is how things are now, imagine in 10 years, whats gonna happen!! haha, ok thanks!
person43 answered Tuesday March 25 2008, 12:45 pm: yes, it seems like kids are having sex earlier and earlier these days. I personally think it is a bad decision to be having sex at 13 or 14 these days because of stds and pregnancy. But then you look at the past, and it was normal for girls to get married and have children at 13 or 14. I think that is normal too, because when a woman gets her period it is the body's sign telling her she is ready to reproduce. However, as I do believe that was normal, I do not agree with it nowadays because of all the risks and girls are way more immature now to be having children at that age. Sex is supposed to be special and its supposed to be with someone you really deeply love and want to be with.
This world is so corrupt. Very disappointing. [ FlaWlessMonoLith's advice column | Ask FlaWlessMonoLith A Question ]
phatdopelove answered Tuesday March 25 2008, 12:11 pm: I do agree with you, to me its ridiculous that more and more young girls as young as 12 are having sex and are not considering the consequences of having sex.
Most of them think they are ready, but it has so many consequences like it can emotionaly hurt a person. And for most kids they believe that if they do have sex with a person then, they will like them more or love them more. Which is entirely not true at all.
Thats why so many girls these days are becoming pregnant. It may be due to your location but TRULY its happening EVERYWHERE.
Sex changes a person, and it can change their whole life people are just not thinking about the consequences and it seems like to me it became a "trend"
To me there should be more people that are against it, and there are it is just hard to find. People have crossed the line not even thinking about their religion (if they believe in God) to wait. To me it actually means so much more to wait rather than to give it up before you're even married at all; [ phatdopelove's advice column | Ask phatdopelove A Question ]

yes the age seems to be getting lower and lower, though, the youngest person i know to lose it, lost it at 13, and i knew her... about 6 or 7 years ago, so i havent noticed a much of a decline, because most people i know are losing it at 16. i think it depends on the area you live in, and the cause possibly does as well. there are statistics linking it to pretty much everything. I completely agree with you. Sex just isn't what it used to be anymore. Teenagers (and *gulp* pre-teens) don't seem to have any moral values whatsoever. I feel that it's all because everyone wants to be "in love" and will do anything to find it. And I'm sure that vulgar advertisements, music videos, and music in general do NOT help.
It seems to me that fewer and fewer kids these days care about a religion or have any moral values whatsoever.
I've always thought that sex doesn't necessarily have to wait for marriage, but one should at least wait for the legal age of 16 and until you've found another person you truly love.
