Fasting.

Question Posted Wednesday March 19 2008, 7:12 pm

I'm thinking about fasting for a few days, because I have a friend that does it, and it sparks my interest, and I really want to try it.

Can someone explain it to me? And give me some tips and tricks to stay on it?

i would definately not advise you to try fasting. your friend, who is fasting, is probably developing an eating disorder and trust me, you don't want to start developing one to.

fasting is something that certain types of reigions do at certain types of the month. mostly muslims and jews. but fasting isnt easy. especially for more than a day. remember, the human body cannot live without food or water for more than 3 days.

to fast, you cant eat anything during the day. but it depends on what religion is doing the fasting. like, muslims dont eat anything but some water and bread at night for the whole month of december!

the most you can have a day is some bread and water. only at certain times though.

tips and tricks are hard to come at when it comes to avoiding food. maybe you should try writing or drawing or something to keep your mind off of it. but dont fast for the wrong reasons. like, to lose weight. or just to see what its like. those are not good reasons. strongly religious people see this as a time to worship, not to lose weight or just try it.

take care and ask your friend about this. she/he will tell you more than i can. ;)
