i NEED a job and i cant find any that will accept 14-16 year olds.i need to find a job soon to help my mom out with the rent.i would even do babysitting for a small cost.i dont care really what it is.any suggestions?
Anyways, I started working at my local church when I was 13. You will not get paid big bucks, however, since it's a church. I get about $120 a month, but the good thing is that I only have to go every Sunday, for 3 [sometimes 5] hours. You should look up some local churches on Google, call them, and ask to be connected with the Children's Ministry. That's a start.
You could also try:
- Tutoring
- In-home babysitting
- Bagging groceries
- Walking dogs
- House sitting
- Mowing lawns [since it's getting closer to Spring]
- Maid service
Try making some flyers in Word and putting them around local coffee shops as well. You mentioned 'rent', as in you live in an apartment? I put up flyers on the bulletin board in my apartment complex, and got a call that same night. I ended up watching 2 kids last summer almost every day [excluding weekends] for my summer vacation, and made $600. It's always good too start out small, and work your way up. Hope I helped :]] [ o0Yourmom0o's advice column | Ask o0Yourmom0o A Question ]
