wear a tampon and a pad. or just a tampon, depends on how heavy your flow is. also, make your pad be more at the back of your underwear rather than front if you're sleeping on your back.

good luck :D

Well what I do, is use a max absorbent tampon, and then a normal pad at the same time.
If you're sleeping on your back, put the pad so that it covers more of your back area, than front.
Wear night pads.
I had those small problems at night too for the first couple of periods.
After a while, you get the hang of it, and it's all ok :)

Good Luck.

Here are things that you can do:
Get overnight pads (they're longer).
Sleep on your stomach/sides part of the time.
Sleep on top of an old towel.
Get up in the middle of the night and change your pad.
Use a tampon (if you're only going to sleep like 7 hours or so).

Most of the time I use a tampon just because it's easier at night. You are only supposed to leave them in for like 2-8 hours though.

Tip: cold water gets bloodstains out.

they have pads called "overnight pads" or night time pads ...and those are longer then the regular ones that you can wear during the night... :)

*If you sleep on your back, make sure the pad covers the back side of your underwear more than the front, or use 2 to cover it all.

*Sleep on a towel or something which won't ruin your bed.

*Perhaps put tissue on the outside of your underwear, incase it leaks through, so it wont go onto your pants and bed.

*If you're prone to heavy periods, if you can, get up and change your pad through the night.

You'll get the hang of it. Don't worry. I'm sure it's happened to many people.
