Stolen iPod

my ipod was stolen out of my car yesterday and it is still under warranty until next christmas. if i file a police report does anybody know if apple will give me a new iPod? thanks!

No they will not give you an other IPOD. Your best bet in the future is to etch the last 4 digits of your social into the product. That way if it does come up, say in a pawn shop, the police can identify yours more easily.
