Question Posted Thursday March 6 2008, 5:36 pm

So my hair is naturaly wavy. well i just want to leave it alone one day let it dry by itself and have it be curly not frizzy and not huge! for some reason i cant do that anymore. i used to now i cant. and it will not dry like that like with a hair dryer so yeah. any ideas? thanks. any home potions that actually work where i dont have to go out and buy anything. i have herbal essences gel stuff for scrunching, i dont think its working.

i have curly hair! like you wouldnt even believe

here is what i think works best

brush hair b4 a shower (use conditioner as you are brushing, it makes it easier) then take a shower, put shampoo, condition and brush again. it worked for me.

Well, I have naturally wavy hair that can become frizzy if I don't watch it, so I can relate. Here's what I find works for me:
I would do this at night:

Before you take a shower, brush through you hair to get out the tangles.

After you wash you hair leave it in a towel to dry for about 15 minutes or so. Don't brush your hair. Then, take your gel (and if you want to purchase something for only about $3 or $4, herbal essences make a great mousse)--it would give your hair tons of volume and not make it as stiff as gel does. So whichever you choose to use--gel or mouse take about a dime to quater sized amount (depending on your hair length) and put it on a wash rag or small/thing towel. Use this to "scrunch" your hair. Make sure to scrunch not just the tips but the roots of your hair. Using the towel instead of your hand whil create a lot less frizz. Do this scrunching for about a solide 3-5 minutes. After that take a rubberband and twist your hair in to a messy bun high on top of your head. Sleep on it like that and when you wake up in the morning or when you are ready to leave the house take it down. Your hair will be wavy/curly and not frizzy. Just remember the more you scrunch the curlier and wavier it will be so if you want it to be less don't do it as much. Also when you take your hair down don't brush you hair. If you are worried about the poofyness of it at first keep in mind it will fall throughout the day and as soon as you walk outside. Enjoy! :)
