There are a lot of causes for sensitive
teeth. Brushing to hard, gum problems...
Here is a good site that lists some of
the causes if you'd like to read it. :)

Just that one tooth became sensitive all of a sudden? That's iffy and does NOT sound normal. I'm not a dentist, but you could have your tooth rotting from the inside, for example you could have a cavity in your tooth in the part that is touching another tooth (so you can't really see it).

Do you floss? Are your gums sensitive? Do your gums bleed easily? Does it hurt to put pressure on that tooth?

I would go see a dentist about it, but before you do that, try changing your toothpaste to one especially designed for sensitive teeth and see if that helps.

Sensitive teeth is totally normal. Toothpastes for sensitivity can help, but it'll probably always be like that.

My front teeth cannot touch anything hot or cold without excruciating pain. So, I've gotten accustomed to drinking things with straws when possible, and simply avoiding those sensitive teeth in other situations. It becomes second nature after awhile.

There is nothing wrong with it, its just your teeth are sensitive. They make a special kind of toothpaste for it called sensodine i think, and others too. My mom and i have sensitive teeth too. Except it is all of our front teeth.
