okay i want to be in swimming [at school] but theres a problem... :
what happens when im on my period?
im not aloud to use tampons
and i started my very first period one week ago so im not regular and its still to early to use a tampon
so idk what to do
help??
I would talk to whoever isn't allowing you to wear a tampon. Tell her (I'm going to assume its your mom) that you will wear it only for swimming. If she still doesn't let you, here are some good arguments:
-I can't skip swimming when I'm on my period, because not coming to practice for four days straight will cause me to get out of shape, and it takes about a week to get back in shape, so this whole swimming process (which is good for me) would be completely pointless.
-Tampons aren't harmful: if you use them according to the instructions in the box the risk of getting TSS is very low.
-Tampons are much more comfortable then pads
-Exercise helps periods to be more bearable, so it is best that I swim during my period which means wearing a tampon because I can't swim with a pad on (It will be very noticeable and it will offer no barrier from the blood leaking into the pool)
