Okay, I have two questions.
I just turned 14 on Valentine's Day. Happy Birthday to me, I know haha!
Anyway. My boyfriend just turned 16 on January 25.
Only a two year difference. That's not bad right?
Well how young is too young?
To go on a "date"?
My mother says it's a matter of responsibility and maturity.
Everyone I know goes out at 14.
Even if their parents drop and pick them upand such.
So is it okay for me?
And how can I prove I am responsible and old and mature enough to go on a "date" with T.J.? My stepmom has met him and he's a really nice, responsible, mature, and respectful young man.
He really is.
Ask my stepmom lol!
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

If you can handle a relationship and go out on dates at 14, then do so. I don't think that you are too young to date or to have a boyfriend. Maturity is a big part of it and your boyfriend seems like a good guy. I don't see anything wrong with you two & good luck! :) [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
JustSomeone answered Saturday February 16 2008, 10:51 am: when i was 14 years old, i was dating a 16 year old so i know EXACTLY how you feel..
my mom thought he was too old for me, but i didnt care.
she wouldnt let me hang out with him a lot, but i made us go on a 3 date to dinner so she could talk/get to know him a bit, and realize what a nice guy he was..
after that she had no problem whatsover with him!
i just turned 16 years old last month, and my boyfriend is turning 18 in march :) yes we're still together!
dont let the mom rule your relationship, but still respect what she wants, beacuse you never know, this could be the man of your dreams :D [ JustSomeone's advice column | Ask JustSomeone A Question ]

And if you think you're ready to handle it, I'd sit down and talk with your parents/stepparents about it. That's the most mature way...and don't use the 'but all my friends do' thing that never works ;]
Good luck with dating! [ xlovexx463's advice column | Ask xlovexx463 A Question ]
