...and no country stopped him?

Question Posted Wednesday February 13 2008, 12:39 pm

Well I just found out lots of stuff about world war 2 and hitler that I didn't know before.. and I have one question (and I pray to God someone has the answer to this) HOW THE HECK could Hitler break that peace-agreement they made in Versaille, without any other country stopping him??? Am I the only one who finds that ridiculous?? Any answer (or even oppinion) is welcomed.

I think you have to look at how Hitler got his power and NATO afterwards. NATO was formed to prevent this. If any one single country would have stood up, they'd done it alone. Hitler knew that it was damn near impossible to stop him.

i don't think there's really a reason that no one stopped him, because quite a few countries knew about it. i think it was simply that no one believed or wanted to believe what he was doing, and they knew it would take a war to stop him. which is really unfair to all the jews that had to suffer through the holocaust. but america's made a lot of mistakes as a country. unfortunately.
