Need a lot of math help.

Question Posted Sunday February 10 2008, 12:15 pm

How would I create a stem and leaf plot?

How would I find the quartiles in a data set?

How would I find the interquartile range in a data set?

How would I create a "box and whisker" plot?

How would I find the cumulative frequency of a data set, and how would I make a cumulative frequency histogram?

How would I find the angles of a pie chart based on a set of data?

Thanks!

To answer all of those would take quite some time.
I first suggest that if you are having trouble in your math class then to ask your teacher for extra help. I also understand that there truly are bad teachers and asking yours for help isn't always an option. I've asked math teachers that aren't mine for help before - they're pretty nice people.

If you type any of these questions into a search engine such as google or yahoo you can find what you're looking for.

Because all I can do is type an answer I am unable to show you most of what you are asking.
I can show you a stem and leaf plot.

Let's say your numbers are: 12, 16, 25, 29, 30, 33, 38, 40, 46, 49, 50, 57 103, 104. Your "graph" would look like this:
1|26
2|59
3|038
4|069
5|07
10|34
I'm not sure if (in the second column) you are supposed to have commas inbetween the numbers... I don't really remember that part.

Box and whisker plots are literally a rectangle with whisker like lines coming out from both ends. Just google "Box and whisker plot" and you can find sites and examples.

If I knew enough html to create a website or if I had some sort of smartboard connection that I could show you I would; some of this is just too difficult to show you online.

Websites and math teachers (yours or a friends) would be the most helpful in your situation.

1.
only search advicenators.com

2. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
3. Same as #2.
4.
only search advicenators.com

5.
only search advicenators.com

I could explain all of these to you, but I would take up a lot of space.

If those websites don't help [or if you still do not understand], go ahead and message me. I'd be happy to help.
