Studying out of the country Alright, so I'm a junior this year in high school, and I really want to study at an out of country college; like the University of Sydney,AU. Well there's this problem..in Australia, they apparently have a whole different school system. Something about taking a prep. course or attending college before going to a university(colleges and universities are different I guess). Does anyone know if I can go straight to that University without talking certain prep. courses or attending certain colleges?? Please help, I really need to know.
Thanks a lot, and sorry it's so long/confusing.

Here in Australia, "college" usually refers to a residential college, which is where you live if you want to live on campus. "University" refers to the institution itself, and that includes what Americans usually call "college".
If it's the University of Sydney that you want to go to, here's their page for international students.

It has information on the international secondary qualifications that it recognises. Scroll all the way down if you're in the USA. There's also a link to the page for a foundation programme if you don't meet the requirement. ]
