I have itunes and i'm sick of having to spend 15$ every time i want some more songs because i need a new gift card.
now lots of my friends use limewire and love it. I know the quality of the music is cheap, but you can get like whatever songs you want. I was just wondering how badly illegal is it, and have anyone ever got caught??
plus what is the chance i will get a virus using it, and yah.
Sayrah answered Monday February 4 2008, 1:57 am: I have limewire (and have had for a little over a year) and I have never had any problems. It's not illegal. *cough cough* Given, we are probably just getting by because of a loop hole...O_o...Anyway, I'm not in jail and I've never heard of the FBI kicking in someone's door for using a music sharing program. Thus, I vote yes to limewire. [ Sayrah's advice column | Ask Sayrah A Question ]

So pretty much nobody has been caught doing so,and it's overall safe. Downloading limewire is WELL WORTH IT(:
You also won't get a virus as long as you download it straight from the limewire website (: good luck. [ avalonavalon's advice column | Ask avalonavalon A Question ]
Remember how to be safe with P2P by using the acronym SOBS(which you will be doing if you don't):
S-Use SECURE networks like nodezilla and OFF whenever possible
O-Use OBSCURE networks like DirectConnect and ares to avoid being targeted
B-Use BITTORRENT whenever possible
S-Don't be STUPID(see second link)
