appearance of mac taskbar[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

How do I get that white taskbar? I just want the taskbar itself [I don't want it at the top, I prefer it at the bottom]. Please and thank you.

That is (deceptively) a picture of an actual Mac OSX desktop. You won't be able to get a task bar like that in Windows.

However, you can get a different style taskbar. What you need are called "visual styles".

First, download and run this uxtheme patcher:

This only works with Windows XP, Vista, and Server 2003. If you have a different version, you will not be able to use visual styles.

Next you need the visual style files. Deviantart is the best place to get them. If you have Windows XP, go here:

If you have Windows Vista, go here:

Browse through that area of Deviantart until you find a style you want. Click the "download" link on the left side of the page. For some downloads you might need 7-zip to extract the files (.rar or .7z files):

After the files are extracted, you must move the "something.msstyle" file and the entire "shell" folder(if the style comes with one, they don't always) to C:windowsresourcesthemes. Once the files are there, doubleclick the msstyle file. Click apply and your new style will be applied!

Here are some nice styles with white taskbars:
