Of course there is something you can do! I know from personal experience that perfection is not possible. You should really try doing things that make YOU happy. Things that emphasize what YOU love.

Don't worry about people talking behind your back. Honestly, they can't say it to your face because they are going through the same thing. The best way to get back at them is to show them that no matter what they say, you're still happy being you. That will make them more mad than you would ever imagine!

So relax. If you have to bend down that low just to make people feel better, then maybe you should stand up a little straighter and start making yourself happy. In the long run, that's what is really going to matter.

I think everyone who was or is a teenager has gone through that stage. I've gone through it and yes, at times, I go back to that stage but there is one thing you need to remember; Don't worry about what other people think of you. There are always going to be people who stick up their noses at you but what comes around goes around.

It seems you feel the need to be accepted. Ask yourself these questions -Who is always criticizing me? -Who are my true friends? -Who am I trusting nowadays? I know for a fact that people who seem like they are friends, really aren't. One main problem that is causing this "accept me stage" is mostly from the "cool crowd" or your "so called friends." Hun, if they talk about you behind your back, they aren't true friends.

To stop stressing, I would recommend taking a day off every week. Maybe on a Saturday. Do some things that you haven't done in a while that you miss. For example, maybe if you have a hot tub, go inside of it. Or if you have money, go shopping with friends. When you feel really stressed out, go to the bathroom and breathe in from your mouth and out through your nose. Tell yourself everything will be alright. More then that, believe that everything will be alright. Studies show that stretching in some cases help you lose the burden of stress.

To build up self esteem you must have self acceptance. Accept who you are, how you look, what you think, and what you feel. You must also be living in the present. Forget about the past. What's done, is done. Let it go. WORK CITED; [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

OK this is going to sound completely ridiculous, but it really works. Sit in front of a mirror and write down everything you like about yourself, physically and mentally. Everyday, or just whenever you feel down, read over it. Furthermore, from now on whenever you look in the mirror say one positive thing about yourself.

To stop stressing, keep yourself occupied. Join a new club or take up a new hobby. It will help.
