Victoria's Secret Love Spell is a really good scent.
Also- Mary Kate and Ashley has a good line too.
Any of those are really good, and dont cost a lot either

I'm kinda cheap, so I mostly buy the scents from Bath and Body Works. Nevertheless, they smell great! They are generally about $10 for the body spray or $30 for the eau de toilet (perfume). My favorite scent is Sensual Amber. Other scents that smell really good are Wild Honeysuckle, Pinkgrape Fruit, and Moonlight Path. Anything from Victoria's Secret usually smells really good too.

Well, I would totally check out some of Britney Spears perfumes. She has this sort of candy smell to her perfume which makes it entreating. The price usually varies depending on the size. Check out the site; [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) Last time I checked it was at Macy's, JC Penny, and Claires. Sometimes Marshall and CVS have them there.
Jennifer Lopez also has great smelling perfumes. However, I am not certain of the price because I got it for my birthday. The scents are a little too strong but nevertheless, the perfume is very good. The website is; [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
For lotions, I recommend Sweet Pea by Bath and Body Works. The small bottle of lotion is 5$. Quite expensive for a little bottle but it is worth it. The website is; [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
For the best lotion and fragrance go to Bath and Body Works and Marshalls. Bath and Body Works is good for lotions as well as perfumes. Marshall has brand name perfumes for a relatively cheap price.

My favorite from VS is the Dream Angels Heavenly spray. It smells amazing.. I believe it's $30 for a huge clear plastic bottle thing, but that stuff lasts long and I've gotten tons of compliments when I wore it.

I really like Princess by Vera Wang. I'm not sure if it's under $50, because I got it as a present.
Lots of people like Fantasy by Britney Spears. It's very.. cotton candy-ish. I think it's a little too strong, but you might like it. =]
Also, Japanese Cherry Blossom at Bath and Body Works is very pretty. And I'm sure that's under $50. Hope this is a good answer. =D
