Well the number 32,34,36, that's the measurement for around your ribcage, not your actual breasts but just below them. Then the cup A,B,C,D, is basically determined by measuring around your breasts. The cup is the difference between the ribcage measurement, and the bust measurement. I'm not sure on specifics, but that's just how I've come to understand it. Hope I helped. ~Love Angel ]
The number part (32, 34, 36, etc) is the measurement around your chest; basically, how big around your body is. The letter part (a, b, c, etc) is the cup size; the actual size of your breasts. Sooo... a 32D would fit someone who's very slender but has large breats; and a 38a would fit someone who has a larger body but smaller breasts. ]
Okay! So let's say you're a C36. C is the cup size [size of boobs:)] and the number is the bust size. The back length.
I can't stand when girls think C36 is a bigger cup than C34.
So when the cup of a bra doesn't fit you, don't get a bigger number, get a bigger letter!
Oh, and if you go to a store like victoria's secret they will gladly measure you! That's their job. And for me they did it over my clothes, so good!
ps. Victoria's Secret is kind of pricy, so get your size and then go to another store like Macy*s for bras!
Good Luck! ]
The letter is your cup size and the number is your bust size (length around). So if you are an A cup, you have smaller actual boobs than a B cup, but if you are a 36A you are bigger around than a 32B. ]
