thelaura answered Thursday January 17 2008, 2:15 pm: It depends on the material of the tshirt. If it's cotton, it will be easy. Synthetics tend not to shrink.
Basically wash it in hot water, then put it in a dryer (hottest setting).
The hotter, the better, because high temperatures cause the fibres in the material to shrink. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

1. Wash the T-shirt in very hot water.
2. Optional: Add baking soda to the water to preserve any writing or illustrations.
3. Dry in a hot clothes dryer (this is when the majority of the shrinking will take place).
4. Leave the shirt in the dryer for a few minutes after cycle.
