A good exercicse??

I don't know what the area is called...but its like righttt above my butt, but below my back...but what is a good exercise to work that??

There are lots of exercises that stretch your lower back area.
Here is an excellent website that shows lower back exercises, complete with pictures:

One thing that I do that stretches the entire back is called Spinal Twist, a common yoga pose...you've probably seen it done before.
It's hard to explain, but here's a site that has instructions and a couple pics (just scroll down to "Spinal Twist"):

(there are also other yoga poses you can try, for all parts of the body).

What I do to work my lower back is what I call backward crunches. If you can imagine that, they have structures at the gym where basically you lean all the way forward, and then come up, like a crunch, but backwards. I like to hold a medicine ball when I do this exercise for extra resistance. It's very simple. Then to get love handles, you would do the same exercise, but sideways.
