One thing that I do that stretches the entire back is called Spinal Twist, a common yoga pose...you've probably seen it done before.

If you can imagine that, they have structures at the gym where basically you lean all the way forward, and then come up, like a crunch, but backwards. I like to hold a medicine ball when I do this exercise for extra resistance. It's very simple. Then to get love handles, you would do the same exercise, but sideways.
