Ok, so I know I really shouldn't even think about being anorexic or anything because I know how unhealthy it is and of the risk factors, but I can't seem to shake the thought of being anorexic. It's because I am like seriously 60 pounds over weight. I am considered obese, although I don't look it. The thing is I am really not happy with how I look or feel and it disgusts me big time. Does anyone know of how I can get rid of these thoughts on wanting to be anorexic? I'm not saying that I am, because I am not....at least not yet.

Even though you are not considered anorexic because you still eat, thinking about becoming anorexic is just as bad.
However, if you really feel overweight [which you aren't] try excersizing some more, but don't over do it. You could also go on a diet by eating healthier foods like fruits and vegetables, and some crabohydrates.
You are gorgeous just the way you are and you should believe that and I hope that you can look in the mirror everyday and know that you are beautiful and you don't have to be anorexic to feel that way.
Best of luck to you, [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

Make healthy changes in your life: start scheduling exercise into your schedule so you don't have an excuse to skip it, choose carrots and fat free ranch dressing over cookies and potato chips, drink diet coke instead of regular, take a salad over fries, take the stairs instead of the elevator...simple changes can make a huge difference, you'd really be surprised! Good luck, and if you think you might start to struggle with disordered eating, get help ASAP from someone you trust. And please, please don't starve yourself. Take it from someone who knows, it messes with your body in SO many ways, it's ridiculous and very painful for not only you but those around you who care about you. Be happy with your weight. I weigh tons and i just quit worrying about it and exercising and eating right and i don't even worry about it any more. If you think your overweight just schedule a oppointment with a nutritionist...if you eat junk food and think your going to quit eating all together just try quit eating unhealthy things and walk an hour a day....totally easy and totally healthy...
