Yeah, the title...
I'm just wondering how many people here listen to any of those genres.
And I defenetly don't mean punk. or pop.
So like Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Slipknot, Children Of Bodom, Thine Eyes Bleed, Gorgoroth,Sepultura and so on.
I think metal isn't appriciated enough.

Almost all my friends love metal, so i can't really say its unappriciated in my litle clique.
But i haven't met alot of people outside of it that enjoy it, they just call me emo and stuff.
But i personally love it.

I listen to them
Slayer, Children of Bodom, Slipknot, Rimfrost, Six Feet of Foreplay, Searing Meadow, etc, etc.
I don't think they're appreciated enough, too. Too many people seem them as being stupid and loud and nothing else *rolls eyes* Whatever. They can think whatever but I'm still gonna listen to these bands.

I will do some thrash, e.g. Slayer, Testament, old Metallica, etc.
I also dont mind Cradle of Filth (which fits into multpile of your categories).
Generally though I am mainly for heavy metal (e.g. Maiden, Manowar, Judas Priest, etc).
I agree with you on the underappreciated part. Metal has been the only music I ever liked.
