Question Posted Monday January 7 2008, 4:46 pm

My friend is 14 and she is heading down the wrong track, and she is only in the 9th grade. She smokes weed, she ran away from home, she had sex with an 18 year old, and she is just heading down the wrong track. I've tried to talk to her, but she won't listen, and I don't know what else to do. My friend told me to tell someone, then again don't because it might push her away. I think she does it to get attention from her mom, because her mom doesn't ever be at home, and when she is home is gone with her boyfriend. What should I do?

I would tell someone, she is endangering herself and is heading down a bad path. Either tell her mom/dad/counselor/friend... someone that can help her. Otherwise maybe she has to hit rock bottom
before she realizes what she's doing is wrong. Try talking to someone to see if they can help,
otherwise it's out of your hands.
