i'm in a string quartet and i know that spring/summer is a busy time for weddings. we're already booked for one in march, but we really want to play in a lot of weddings. we're all 15/16, sophomores, but very good. how do we get the word out so people know we do weddings? and how much should we charge per person, per songs? thanks!

AngelofMercy answered Tuesday January 1 2008, 11:40 pm: You could post ads in the local newspaper, under the classifieds section. You could also get business cards made and distribute them to bridal stores, so when the brides go shopping they will see them. Also, print fliers and hand them out to local businesses. I know where I come from, they have a bridal fair once a year and all the people that offer goods, go and set up booths to advertise for their businesses. Also, I would charge a per event fee. Charging per person would go along the lines of individual settings, i.e. food, drinks, that kind of thing. Good Luck! [ AngelofMercy's advice column | Ask AngelofMercy A Question ]

people would buy their friends or bf/gf a little card and with the card the quartet would visit one of their classes and perform just for them.
It was a really good idea and I totally blushed when someone decided to perform in my honor. I say you give it a try! [ LiSaxOBaBii's advice column | Ask LiSaxOBaBii A Question ]
