Water Consumption

Question Posted Friday December 28 2007, 4:14 pm

Is it unhealthy to drink 4 cups of water within an hour without doing any physical activity? I am 125 pounds if that matters. I know that it is better to drink water throughout the day and not just at once, and I don't want to "drown my cells" or anything. Thanks!

As long as you don't have any kidney problems, it is fine to drink that much water. (Generally, if you have any pre-existing conditions that would make it unhealthy for you to drink that much water, it would be serious enough that you would know about it.) Go ahead and drink water if you're thirsty.

drink as much water as you want...but it's best to do some activity throughout the day because otherwise the water just accumulates and will cause bloating...but it's fine.
