Question Posted Friday December 28 2007, 11:38 am

I'm 16 female. && I think I have a great body! That pine skinny look is out, and what I look like is in! Big boobs, nice stomach(a little baby fat) nice legs. But that thing is, I dont know how to really show it off. I'm 5'4, 5'5 with shoes, 148lbs, play sports, cheerleader, but I dont act like it. I wear hoodies, and jeans more then 95% of the time. Even tho I know my body looks good, I dont know how other people feel. My friends tell me all the time, that I have the best body they know, and they wish they had it. But whenever I wear like a hollister shirt(tight) I feel fat, bc when I sit I have that little baby fat. Im not sure what Im asking, but what do you guys think? && if you think I should start dressing up more, give me some ideas of what to wear?

Here are some messurements.
height-5'4-5'5
weight-145-150
pant size-6 or 7
shirts-M or L
bra-34-36D

&& if you want a picture of my body, Ill send one, only if you can really help me.. thanks! =D

i dont think missbananafontana took into account that since you play sports and cheerlead you probably have a lot of muscle, which weighs more than fat, so you probably arent overweight if youre happy with your body. it sounds like you want to tone your abs or something. do sit ups every night. maybe wear some cute dresses or something. or pretty shirts with jeans instead of hoodies.

I just wanted to point out to missbananafontana that the questioner did not ask what her BMI was. She was asking for suggestions on clothing.

Anyways, back to the question.

I started off the school year by wearing simple polos and jeans, or just a hoodie and jeans. I found this cute cheetah print dress in the back of my closet that I bought from Wet Seal last year. I put a black long sleeve shirt underneath it, black leggings, and black flats, and I got a ton of compliments on it. Even guys noticed (that rarely happens hah). The shirts that you should aim for should be the empire waist shirts, otherwise known as shirts that are more free flowing near the bottom. These shirts paired with skinny jeans and flats, or just regular jeans would look extremely cute.

Those are just a few examples, however you can find lots of other cute things at forever21.com and wetseal.com. I know what you mean about Hollister shirts being tight, and even their jeans seem like they were made for size 2's since they're so tight! I hope that helped. edit -- ideas for hair:
half up, half down
curled
straightened
low pony tail
that poofy thing that you pull back and its that thing on top of your head [hard to explain]
scrunched
braided low pigtails

there's a LOT you can do with your type of hair.

go there, and look for the last white box where it says 'keyword', type in 'hairstyle' and you can find tons of other questions where you can find similar answers about different hairstyles.

You probably do have a nice looking body. My only advice on that is to watch your weight and possibly could use to lose a few pounds, only because your BMI of 25.4 (5"4, 148 lbs.) puts you in the overweight category these are the BMI categories:
Underweight- less than 18.5
Normal weight- 18.5-24.9
Overweight- 25-29.9
Obese- 30 or greater
There is nothing wrong with being curvy (but always respect those who aren't blessed with hourglass figures, whether A-line or pumpkin) but always be healthy.

Style tips:

1. A full miniskirt like this one: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
2. Colored jeans that accentuate curves like this pair: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
3. A belted dress that makes your waist look uber tiny: 1&[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
4. A cropped jacket that hits you at the waist: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

EDIT: I'm sorry that I did not take into account that you probably do have a lot of muscle. I simply calculated your BMI which shows that you're a tad overweight. Now, I'm no doctor, but I was only warning you those categories of BMI apply to EVERYONE. And to the person who answered after me, I don't especially care that the questioner was not asking for her BMI; I was just TRYING to give a helpful warning.

well you shold maybe dress up more often if you really want gus to notice you. but like you said wen u sit down and the baby fat everyone has that and if you really really really feel bad about your body maybe you should ask your friends to maybe borrow some cute clothes from them. but if its too uncomfortable u should just go back to your regular clothes no matter wat people thinkk.
