Your life is at risk.

People take cutting to be a big deal because it could kill you. How ? Well its simple one day you decide to cutt and "accidently" hitt a vein you could bleed to death, you might find it pleasurable or an escape from depression when really all its doing is hurting you and putting you at risk everyday. Cutting leaves nasty scars that will be visible to you and everyone for the rest of your life. You decide to have kids one day would you want them to see your scars? When they ask you what those marks on your arms hands are , would you want them to know you once cutt? Cutting is a nasty habit I suggest you get a new one

Good luck

Cutting is a very big deal. It is not normal and I thnk you know this. I think you also know that cuting is your way of not dealing with something else. Putting aside the health risks for a moment, because others have told you this and you know the more you cut the more you want to keep cutting - so you may feel very safe right now in your cutting, feeling it is your own, feeling it is something you can control, but honey, you need to talk to someone who can help you to figure out why are are doing this to yourself. Pick one person, and let them help you. Because the longer this goes on the deeper you are going to cut and the pain will not go away, but believe me honey, you will end up in a hospital at some point, and I don't want that to happen. Find one person - just one!!! Take back the control you are so desparatly trying to find by cutting, take it back and you will be stronger and happier for it.

One word: death.
Cutting is not healthy and inflicting pain on yourself IS a big deal, a huge deal actually. You could bleed to death, pass out, you won't be able to stop without help. Do you really want to risk your life? Talk to a guidance counselor, or write down your feelings, draw, sing, anything but causing harm to your own body. You'll also have scars...and people will listen to your problems, your pain wont.
Please don't do this!

the problem with cutting is if one day you get extra upset you may cut too deep. It's a dangerous way to deal with stress.

Self mutilation is often a trait most suicidal people have. People often react strongly against cutting because of this, and they maye think you have serious psychological issues, you might if you think cutting is okay.

good luck <333

Bleeding to death, if you cut too deeply. If the tools your used weren't sterile, there is risk of infection. At the very least, you'll have ugly scars that won't get away.
Mentally...let's just say it would make your problems worse instead of better.

infection, iron deficiancy, bleeding to death....anything a peircing can do...only MUCH worse.

um, there's a few things. you can cut too deep and cause permanent nerve damage. another one is you can get an infection due to contaminated razors or whatever you use. those are just physical health risks. there's a lot of physiological health risks as well. essentially it holds you back in life. it becomes conditioned in your mind that you need it. you start to develop little ticks. your nerves drive you crazy until you get some relief. if you go to any SI site you'll see all the risks. if the person is going to cut, they need to be safe. they need to make sure they clean their blades and cuts. i use rubbing alcohol. just be safe.

*btw, i'm not saying that you should cut. i don't recommend it. it hasn't done anything positive for me. i'm just saying if you are already one to be safe! you can't make a cutter stop UNLESS they want to!
