Melody answered Monday December 24 2007, 10:16 pm: A girl's first time having sex is never any fun. It's always going to hurt whether it's a little bit or a lot. The slang term "popping her cherry" actually means "ripping her hymen." It's a thin piece of skin located somewhere inside of the vagina. When it rips, it hurts. After it rips, it still may hurt until she gets used to having sex. It doesn't mean you are bad in bed, it just means you need to give her time before it physically will start feeling good for her. It might not feel too good for the next few times either, but after she gets used to it, the pain will go and she'll enjoy it more. It happens to alot of people if they aren't used to larger things being inserted, so it's nothing to worry about.
Also.. if your penis went in all the way, her cherry is most likely to be "popped". It could have popped before you had sex with her anyway. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
