My friend likes a guy that I think likes me!!

Question Posted Monday December 24 2007, 12:41 am

F/13.My friend I described in my first question I asked on Advicenators like this guy.She told me a week ago that she liked the guy and has been liking him since 5th grade!!I talked her into telling him,but instead she made me tell him.He said "Eww.Gross." and whenever he sees my friend,he always says to me "I hate that girl".Yes,he has a mind of a first-grader.I really don't think he's a wise choice for a guy since he's so veangeful and I think he's ugly and a show-off.He sits behind me and has always been talking to me.After I told him my friend likes him,he found out my number. Now he text messages me pink hearts and "Merry Christmas" and all.He also called me once asking about a project though I doubt he didn't know because he gets the best grades in my class.I told my friend about the texts and she just rolled her eyes and acted mean towards me.So,now I don't know what to do since if I tell my friend, she might think I'm showing-off and act all the more jealous,if it's possible..

Well you said that he was vengeful. He is probably just using so that your friend will stop liking him. He probably figures that if she gets jealous she will go for someone else. Consider yourself a tool.

Just stop talking to that boy. Tell your friend that you dont like him (you don't right?) It sounds like he does like you from the texts and stuff, but like you said, if he acts like a first grader... he's just being imature. I know its hard to be blunt at your age with friends, but just tell your friend flat out what he said about her, and that you don't like him like that, and that you're not trying to show off. And she's probably just acting jealous to hide her hurt feelings you know? Hope everything goes well.

if he is that shallow to text message the girl that is best friends with the girl that likes him.. then she shouldnt like him. tell your friend that he is being weird towards you and that you dont think she should even like him
