hey,
congrats on trying to quit.
its really hard to stop cutting and i would know i am proud to say im an EX-cutter for almost a month.

Anyways if you cut for the pain u could try the rubber band it never did anything for me but hey its worth a try.
you could also try ice cubes.

If u cut because of emotional reasons then everytime you feel the urge ask yourself what feelings are making you want to do this and then try to work through the feelings and emotions rather than cut.

If you cut for visualness you could draw cut on with red pen or marker.

Overall if you wish to acheive your goals you need to stay strong.

If you every need support or just wanna talk you can contact me at chantelle_4991@hotmail.com.

hope i helped.
get well soon. xoxox

Look this might not be what you want to hear from an advice giver but its the truth. I don't care if you rate me low for this .

Why would you cutt? Cutting leaves scars and it only makes you want to cutt even more I really don't see a purpose to doing that I find it really stupid but then again there people out there who don't know how to handle there emotions the next time you want to cutt ask yourself why your doing it instead of picking up the blade pick up a pen and grab paper write down why your angry/sad/depressed and when your done ripp it up and throw it away you'd be doing your skin a favor , seek some adult help try talking to a councelor tell them you've been cutting but that you want to stop, talk to your parents also let them know you've been cutting and tell them why you've been doing not only will they help you stop but if they are the cause to why your doing it they'll realize the cause of there actions .

Good luck

hey. firstly its good that you are trying to stop! keep it up. my friend had to deal with this same thing a few months ago and different things work for everyone. one thing you could try, a rubber band. keep it around your wrist and every time you think of cutting just pull it and snap it. If this doesnt work then think whenever you are about to cut yourself that it is the weak way out and it does nothing but hurt you. Please try your hardest to stop this though it will be hard. My friend that stopped is now so much happier with herself!
