In the book "Why french women don't get fat" it says to drink coffee after meals because it helps digest the meal better.
However I don't like coffee much, so I was wondering do you think tea would do the same thing? I know it's healthier for you but I'm not sure whether it would help disgest the food though.
ductape_n_roses answered Tuesday December 18 2007, 9:18 pm: I vote for tea.
1. It's healthy for you.
2. If it's warm tea, it'll make you feel full.
3. It speeds up metabolism.
4. It does wonders for your skin (& body)
5. Coffee stains your teeth.
6. You will end up putting sugar/cream into coffee, which adds up to fat.
7. Coffee makes your body stop producing brain cells that teens need.
8. Coffee can cause acne.
9. Tea is so much better.
And some teas do help digest food like green tea and red ginger tea.

It may stunt your growth.
There are other ways to digest your food, and if drinking coffee is one of them, I wouldn't reccomend it. You should stick with the tea because it is healthier. It is a fact that yes, coffee suppresses your appetite, which makes you not want to eat, but tea helps speed up your metabolism which makes you burn off fat quicker which will amount to you losing some weight.
Plus, coffee stains your teeth: yuckk.
:] I vote tea!
