Is it time?

Question Posted Tuesday December 4 2007, 9:48 pm

Okay so I am 14, and so is my boyfriend. We are so in love with eachother, and I know that. I really think I'm ready to have sex with him, but I feel like I'm too young. Can anyone tell me how they knew it was time? And what it was like? Thank you (:

i think you'll know when you are ready. i lost mine 5 years ago when i was 13 to the person i was talking to at that time. we just started making out and it just kinda happened. it was pretty good from what i remember haha. later we dated for like, a year or two. i don't regret it at all. i wasn't mature at all though, so that might have helped my situation, but yea no regrets for me :).

Uhm , you shouldn't.
Do you want to end up a 14 year old mother living on her own when her boyfriend plays her and your forced to support the baby on your own?
I don't think so honey.

I knew it was time and it was so clear to me..clearer than anything. I had no doubts, worries, or anything, its hard to explain. I was 16 about to be 17 in a couple weeks. What it was like? It was good, i have no problem discussing things with you but not really on here haha so if you want, you can leave me some feedback and let me know of your AIM sn or something and i can tell you more about stuff.
I honestly think 14 is pretty young, but if you have your mind set on doing something i know there is no stopping it. Just dont do anything you will regret. Wait until you know for sure you are totally ready

Trust me, you will know when it's time. It will be as clear as day in your mind. There's no mistaking it. How do you know you're ready? It's simple really! Once the nagging questions, doubts, anxiety disappear and you totally trust a person is when.

Also more importantly here is when you know you're both mature enough to talk about it together. If you can't do that than it's not time yet. You have to have a level head and maturity or it's a mistake.

If you feel too young than trust your gut on that. 14 is young but it's about maturity level and age at the same time. Be sure to get on birthcontrol to avoid pregnancy.

If you have any doubts about having sex right now than hold off. If he loves you he can wait. Be 100% sure in your mind he's the guy.

I agree with the person below me. I was only 15 when I lost my virginity, but I was sure that he were both ready. If you're questioning it, chances are that you're not completely prepared. As for what it was like... If it is with someone you truly love, it is amazing. You feel even more close to the person than before. Just make sure that your feelings of "love" are mutual before you go that far.

Everyone is different. Only you will know when it is the right time. If you are worried about your young age (which you are right to be) then you aren't ready.
