should i give my parents an additional gift.

Question Posted Sunday December 2 2007, 1:22 pm

For christmas, I'm making my parents a DVD with pictures from the day they were married to now. This has taken me about a total of 7 hours so far and i'm only halfway done.
Do you think i should get them something additional on top of this?

My children did the same for me recently to celebrate an anniversary. I was moved to tears with the amount of effort that went into such a thoughtful present. They also put together a small montage of photos of themselves in silly poses and nice poses in a picture frame. I think that what you are doing is great and I am sure your parents will be completely bowled over by it too. As for getting another present to go with it - only do so if you have money to spare, I assure you that they will be thrilled with just the DVD. Merry Christmas to you all.

Aw thats such a cute idea! I don't think its necessary for you to get them something else too, but if you really want to and have the money and time for it, then go ahead

It depends on you, personally. Do you have a budget or any money to spare? If so, you could get them somethng small, yet quite meaningful, just to add to the dvd - like candles/bath oils/chocolates/photo frame/etc.
Either way, I'm sure they will be happy with anything they receive - especially something which has come from the heart and taken alot of time to make. Well done by the way. It seems like a really nice idea.
