boyfriend problems..

he's 16/m
we've been going out since october 13th..
things have been great
no fights, no drama, nothing
but this past week, i found out he smokes
i've told him before i have zero respect for those who smoke
because my dad died of lung cancer
from smoking
i told him i cared for him too much to see him kill himself like this
and since then
he's been so rude to me
he told me he only smokes when he's at work, on his break
so every time he goes on his break,
he'll text me and say "i'm on break guess what i'm doing?"
and of course i'll say "smoking."
and he aggrivates me on purpose...
i like him so much and i don't want to let him go
he's an amazing boyfriend
but i don't appreciate him being so mean to me
and also, he works with this girl, amanda
she's always saying how much she wants to do him and stuff
and he just texted me a few minutes ago
saying "i have good news"
so i said.. "what?"
and he said "amanda's going to indy with me after i get off!"
(his brother's in the hospital and he's supposed to go see him)
i don't know what to do here
he's never been so mean to me
it's like ever since i found out he smoked,
he's been in a bad mood
please help me

listen im in the exact same kind of situation well... except the fact tht im the 1 tht smokes and my boyfriends dad died of lung cancer from smoking. But wen he asks me i lie n say no i dont because im scared of him not liking me ani more or being worried sick about my health. So heres my advice, tell him that you want him to stop smoking, don't force him and tell him that you wont do anything if he doesn't but it is important to you and you care about him too much to have to go through a repeat of wot your dad suffered.

My boyfriend smokes and drinks I don't like it either and I don't want 2 see him kill him self so I told him if he was going 2 smoke and stuff 2 not do it around me

You don't deserve to be treated like that. At all. I understand that he was a good boyfriend and you care about him and everything, but if he's going to treat you like that then go find someone who treats you politely. A gentleman.

i know what you mean. i've been there. my current boyfriend is a serious rebel. he doesn't smoke or drink but he knows that i drink and he accepts that because he really likes me. and if you love this guy, well then you should accept it. loving someone means caring about them...and also accepting them for who they are. i know you don't want to see him die like that, but once you start its kinda hard to stop. my dad stopped 9 times before he really STOPPED. but just tell him that even though you care about his health...that you accept the fact that he smokes. and tell him that is hes gonna be a dick about it then he can walk. course, that's just what i would do.

Well if you really like him you can try to talk to him. If you don't appreciate what's going on let him go. I know it's going to be hard but you can try. Especially since he might be cheating on you. I'm not trying to put you down but form girl to girl i think you should try to let him go. But if you don't think you can let him go then sit down one day and reason with him. Tell him about how you were hurt by your father and how you don't want that to happen again. Maybe if he really cares he'll put every word you say into consideration.
