Wrong impression? Well my friend got his first girlfriend, we're in highschool and I'm SO happy!
On the internet I said that I'm so happy for him that he fianlly got a girlfriend and asked who's the lucky girl?
Then he went all mean and one of the things he said was "why do you care"
Did i do something wrong? Did he think anything bad of my words or something? maybe when i said FINALLY? I just meant I finally see one of his 'girls' after all the years we've been friends and stuff...

Yeah, saying, "finally" wasnt the best idea. Try explaining it like, "finally you aren't being such a tease anymore" or something like that? Just try to make it sound like you're happy he's found someone good enough to be serious with. Or, if all else fails, say it just came out wrong and you meant nothing negative by it. ]
I would think that saying "finally got a girlfriend" wasn't the nicest way to put it.
