There is something you can do about the pain- go to the doctor. Even if you can't afford it, you need to find a way. In your special situation, it is very important you go through a medical professional for medications. Explain to them your situation and they can prescribe you something that has a low risk of addiction.
I imagine she is mad because she is worried. You are struggling with an addiction- it is easy to replace one addiction with another, and pain medicines can be quite addictive. Especially if it makes it easier to deal with the misery of physical and mental withdraws as well as ridding you of pain from broken ribs.
You should talk to her about her feelings on this and ask her if she can do something to help you through this. I highly doubt getting mad at you and turning a cold shoulder your way will help you when you need all the support you can get right now.
