What to wear? A friend of mine's brother recently past away. The wake is Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. We're having Thanksgiving, and my mom's pretty stressed out, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to buy an outfit for it. I don't own a pair of blank pants. What can I wear instead? Or, if I can get a pair of black pants, but else should I wear? Thanks!

hey there, the first thing you should do is call a friend who is about the same size as you and ask if they have anything you can borrow (or at least just black pants). if you can find black pants, then a button-up shirt or a sweater is fine to wear with them. do you have any skirts or dresses that are dark colors? it doesn't really matter if they're actually black, but brown or navy blue is good too. i think your best bet is to call a friend though. ]
Definitely go with a dress, sicne you can't get any pants. It will look more solemn and serious and less business-like. Another good thing is to wear black tights underneath, just to pull it all together, unless the dress is longer than your knees in the first place. Also you can wear navy, gray, or a brown most of the time, they are also good options for this sad occasion.

Do you have anything black? It doesn't have to be pants, (it could be a dress/skirt if you're a girl that is). Could a neighbor maybe take you to get some black paints and a black shirt? Or maybe borrow some from a friend. ]
