ive been wanting to get my cartilage pierced but my parents are like omg thats so gay looking so they wont let me get it done by a professional. i was thinking about doing it myself ,but im not sure how to do it safely. my friend told me just to clean the needle and your ear with alchol and push it through the cartilege, then take it out and put the earing in, and clean it wiht alchol once or twice a day for like a month.
if there is anything else that i need to do please tell me cauz i dont want to messs this up!!

I HIGHLY recommend not doing it unless it's done by a trained professional. Chances are, since this is your first time, you will mess up. The cartilage is much more sensitive than your lobe, and it can get infected easily if you don't do it properly. Compromise with your parents, or just wait until you're a little bit older. Maybe offer to pay for half of it. But please, do not do it yourself.

I think to be honest, doing it yourself is just a bad idea.

If you're going to go behind your parents' backs, just go to a professional behind their backs...

You can get kits on the internet sometimes, though, with the right type of needle. Get someone else to do it as well, doing it yourself willbe awkward. x
