Never go on diets that eliminate a food group(example: diets that eliminate wheats and such, such as the atkinz diet), because once you start eating those foods, all the weight comes back.

Sure, it "works", if you actually do it. Don't cheat. Drink plenty of water and YOU MUST EXERCISE. Every day. Diets don't work on their own, exercise is needed too.

As for the South Beach Diet...it really depends upon your personal body type...for some people it works great...for others the results are disappointing.
