In a way yes but in a way no. If you like someone and you dont really know them then you need to get to know them ask questions, tell them about yourself, and meet them sometime. Phone conversations work to.

It's a bit obsession-ish, yeah. Try doing something else to take up some of your time, so you won't have free time to just think about the person. Everyone has really intense crushes at some point in their life, you just have to work through it or get over it. :]
