What do I eat if I avoid eating carbs? (And I don't like veggies much, by the way. So no vegetarian diet for me;) ) What other food choices am I left with? (And I also try not to eat pork.) I need to lose weight because I've gained around 10 lbs. over our semestral break and I am not happy with my body. I also started to lessen my carb intake and lessened my food intake, in general. Still, there isn't much improvement.
I think the problem is really with the food (cuz I dance a lot, I exercise for at least an hour everyday), so please give me some suggestions as to what I should eat.
Thanks in advance!

Lots of people think this means you only eat meat...WRONG. You need carbs, and you get those from vegetables. So you eat mostly meat and veggies, and you can have fruit for dessert, and two slices of bread a day. Eggs, sausage and bacon for breakfast. Unfortunately, if you want to lose weight and be healthy you MUST eat vegetables, they are the most healthy thing out there. There is no diet that will say "You don't have to eat vegetables." I am not a fan of them either, but the trick is finding some veggies that you do like. For instance, I can tolerate celery and lettuce. Most cooked veggies are just disgusting to me, so I'm trying to eat more salads. You will just have to get used to it. :) [ thefish's advice column | Ask thefish A Question ]
Daimeera answered Thursday November 8 2007, 9:09 pm: Carbs are not unhealthy. Refined carbs (white bread, white rice, anything made with white flour including pasta and sugary cereals) are unhealthy.
Your brain runs on carbs. Carbohydrates are essential to your well-being. It is not advisable to cut out any food group.
Concentrate on eating high-fibre, lower calorie foods. When it comes down to it, it's calories in vs. calories out. If you eat 3000 calories of vegetables (which would be very, very difficult and is an example only), you'll still risk gaining weight.
Fruits and vegetables, by the way, are carbohydrates. That doesn't make them unhealthy. And even if you don't like veggies, the reality is that they're part of a healthy diet. They contain many essential vitamins and nutrients. Try to eat some of them.
Fad diets are not the answer. A balanced, whole-grain diet is.
