Hello! I am a 17-year old female. I am not sexually active but lately a kind of thick white substance has been coming from my vagina. It doesn't have a smell or anything, but is there something wrong with me? Please help
prtyinpink555 answered Tuesday November 6 2007, 5:35 pm: its just discharge and its totally normal.
the only time you'll have to worry about it is if it turns a yellowish color and if it starts smalling fishy.
if you need to they make panty liners for this.
hope i helped! [ prtyinpink555's advice column | Ask prtyinpink555 A Question ]
LagunaBabe answered Tuesday November 6 2007, 2:05 pm: It's discharge, and perfectly normal. The only time you have to worry is if the discharge is a different color, or starts to smelly fishy. I recommend getting pantyliners, they're made specificly for discharge. [ LagunaBabe's advice column | Ask LagunaBabe A Question ]

Mulva answered Monday November 5 2007, 7:58 pm: If you're near your period, it is just an effect of PMS. There is a mucous plug in the cervix and it comes out just before you menstruate.
If you are not near your period, then it is simply vaginal discharge. Basically, it is your crotch cleaning itself out. I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets excessive or starts to smell really bad. Then you may have a yeast infection. Otherwise, it is natural. [ Mulva's advice column | Ask Mulva A Question ]
