my boyfriend got sent to juvenille prison for two years
Question Posted Friday November 2 2007, 10:59 am
I love my boyfriend, and when he gets released, we are goin to get back together, but in those 2 years that he is gone is it bad if i meet someone at the time???cuz im not gonna want to be lonley the whole time and ive been crying like crazy that there taking him away. But do you think its bad that i get a new boyfriend in the meantime?
I can't say that it's bad for you to not want to be lonely. No one does and that is something you should stress to your boyfriend and maybe he will understand that he can't be careless and get locked up and leave you like that.
It sounds harsh but trust me, that's all he has been saying to himself when he was pulled away from every one he loves. He will have to agree and he may even understand but be honest with him no matter what you chose to do.

Here's the thing, he's going to be in prison for two years -- a very long time. Things can happen between those two years, the two of you may not even want to be together when he gets out. And really, it isn't a good thing that he's going to prison, so he may not be the best guy to stay with.
But anyway, I think you should talk to your boyfriend about it and tell him what a long time it is, and things can change. You should waste two years of your life because of this, it'll end up ruining the whole thing I believe. And you'll regret it. [ LagunaBabe's advice column | Ask LagunaBabe A Question ]
BAMFSx0xo answered Friday November 2 2007, 6:25 pm: You should talk to your current boyfriend about it before you try to meet someone. What if you meet someone and start to like them a lot and want to turn it into something serious? You could really end up loving the person you meet and then your boyfriend would come home from juvy and you wouldn't know what to do. So I would talk to him about it and think about what you would do if that situation presented itself. Sorry that wasn't much help, that's a tough question.

These next two years will be a good time to take a break (or break up completely) and see who else is out there. [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
