Question Posted Thursday November 1 2007, 11:53 pm
me and my boyfriend has been together for a while now, and we lost our virginities to eachother. and it's almost been a month before my period is supposed to come. and right now, we're both scared because he thinks i'm pregnant right now. but i'm not really sure if i am. because we've used condoms and we've changed it over and over again too. and it didn't break or leak or anything. we were very careful during sex, and i haven't been throwing up or anything, i felt like it.. but that's maybe because i'm kind of sick and i've been coughing hard that makes me wanna throw up. and my stomaches gotten kind of bigger, but how is that possible for less than a month? it's probably because i've eaten alot of junk food or something. my period comes at random times, supposedly it's supposed to come around this week or next, but i don't even have my warning yet. maybe i'm just worrying too much that my period hasn't come yet... i'm not sure.
PLEASE HELP ME! i'm really scared, nobody knows that i'm not a virgin anymore, and neither does my boyfriend's friends or whoever. please help me! we're really scared.
On the same aisle as condoms is something called "VCF"
Vaginal Contraceptive Film.
They look like thick flexible breath strips. You put one inside yourself and it turns into spermicide by dissolving. Instructions on the box.
They are safe to use with latex condoms, and it is basically a second line of protection in case the condom breaks or leaks. VCF is supposed to be almost as effective as using a condom in preventing pregnancy without the presence of a condom and assuming that the man cums inside the woman.

The more you stress, the less likely your period will arrive since stress causes the menstrual cycle to become erratic. I'm assuming you're young, which makes your period even more erratic, which means it is likely you have nothing to worry about. I can't gaurantee you aren't pregnant, but go to Wal-Mart or Walgreens and buy a pregnancy test if you are really worried about it. That way you will have some peace of mind if it turns out negative making the probability that your period will arrive much higher. [ Mulva's advice column | Ask Mulva A Question ]

BEFORE you tell me "No way, he/she will tell my parents." No, they won't.
If you tell your doctor to keep any information obtained during your visit private, he will not notify your parents.
Like I said, go to the doctor, and tell him/her that you have been sexually active and think you may be pregnant.

Google for signs of pregnancy, but if you fit into one symptom, it doesn't mean you have a baby in your belly. Remember, if you are pregnant and it was concieved a month ago, your belly is not going to start bulging already. The most reliable way is to use a pregnancy test, which you can get at CVS or Walgreens or something. Good luck. [ missbananafontana's advice column | Ask missbananafontana A Question ]
