In Internet Explorer 7, go to tools, internet options, content(tab), and "settings" under "autocomplete". You can disable it there.

In Internet Explorer 6, I think it's somewhere in "internet options", but I don't know exactly where.

In firefox, go to tools, options, privacy, and uncheck "remember what I enter in forms and the search box".
